What we do

littleGIANTS is an integral after-school educational programme that aims to empower the creative young citizens of tomorrow that will change the world. It is founded on five interconnected pillars:

Academic:

  • Instill a lasting love for reading, thus reinforcing imagination, creativity and expression;
  • Use mathematics to develop logic, reason and critical thinking; but also, to build the skills to analyse, evaluate and resolve challenges;
  • Digital literacy and computer coding to exercise order, structure and efficiency; and
  • English language to increase their communication abilities, enhance their culture and offer them a passport to the world.

Sports and Arts:

  • Free the expression of their creative side through music, dance, theatre and art classes, developing both mind and body; and
  • Participate in a wide range of sports activities to develop their physical abilities, enhance their self-confidence and learn about effective teamwork and perseverance.

Project-based learning with social impact and community engagement: 

  • Enhance values, knowledge and leadership techniques through exploratory, experiential and collaborative processes;
  • Through community problem solving, students learn to identify real problems and implement real solutions;
  • Strengthen relations with the local community while increasing  their engagement in social projects and when possible supporting the most vulnerable groups;
  • Build solidarity, social awareness and contribute to their community; and
  • Align our activities and projects with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Encouraging our children to take action to protect their environment and contribute to sustainability which will lead to community engagement. These collaborative activities inspire all members of the school community, which creates a culture of continuous learning, growth, and development.

Wellbeing:

  • Offer social, emotional and psychological support, nutritional meals daily and free access to all health services (including eye and dental care); and
  • Personal Development, through individual or group sessions to cultivate self-love, competence perception, emotional intelligence, and the ability to cooperate.

Family:

  • Support and educate parents through our “Parents School”; instill the sense of belonging; and inspiring them to volunteer in the different activities of the Centre; and
  • Parents and the community become an integral part of the project contributing to the creation of a sustainable society that is able to thrive from one generation to the next.
