Nincy was born in Guatemala City, on February 18, 1987, and grew up in a big family. During her childhood she lived in various places in the city. Her goal and dream were always to become a teacher, which she managed to do at Institute “Normal para Señoritas Centro América ‘INCA’”. She worked in several schools and had the opportunity to gain experience in an NGO, where she realised that social work was her vocation. This led her to be part of volunteer groups in her neighbourhood, at church and in other occasions. She firmly believes that education can bring change to a country, and the opportunities that a child is given will follow him/her for life.
